I just found this. Jim was my friend in vet school. We used to go hunting together and studied for exams together. Sorry for the loss.
Sincerely,
Gary G Swails, DVM KSU 1970

Jim & I connected on FB a year ago. We chatted on messenger & the phone. He so wanted to move back to Kansas so he could attend a few K-State games. I offered to help with his search. Things didn't quite work out at that time but we became great friends with many common interests. I was so sadden to hear from Teri on his passing.
We discussed politics to religion & had veery deep spurituak conversations. He loved the Lord Jesus & I know I will see Jim again someday in heaven. My condolences to the family & my prayers are for your peace in knowing he lived life, family, nearly any animal he ever met. We had many wild critters as kids and remembered in our conversation how greatful we were for having them, especially our raccoons.
I wish I could be in Norton (where I also grew up ) for the memorial service but I'm too far away. May God bless & keep you all.

My condolences to Jim's family. I am proud to have know Jim while growing up. Even though I lost track of him until just about a year ago, I thought of him often. I know he will be missed.
