Obituary of Allen Tacha
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
ALLEN W. TACHA
Allen W. Tacha, son of Earl and Jessie (Stramp) Tacha, was born March 29, 1923, in Jennings, Kansas, and passed away at the Norton County Hospital on February 8, 2016, at the age of 92.
Allen grew to manhood in Jennings where he graduated from the Jennings High School. He also served in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1943 until 1946. Allen was employed by the Chicago Cubs, Baseball Organization in Ashland, Kentucky. He was a pitcher in the Class B and C professional baseball leagues. During the season of 1941, he won 12 games and only lost one with the Ashland Colonels. After his baseball years, Allen became a Lumber Company Executive, starting as a Yard man and working all the way up to Vice President. On September 23, 1945, Allen and Elaine Fowler were united in marriage in Norton, Kansas. Allen and Elaine lived in Boulder, Colorado for 38 years before making their home in Norton.
Allen loved farming with his brother Galen after his retirement. He enjoyed playing bingo, golf, and watching Fox News, and seasonal sports on T.V. Allen's greatest love was his granddaughters. He especially enjoyed watching them compete in their swimming competitions.
Survivors include: one daughter, Diane, and husband, David Gossett, Broomfield, Colorado; one brother, Harold, and wife, Naoma Tacha, Jennings, Kansas; one sister-in-law, Nadine Tacha, Jennings, Kansas; two grandchildren, Zoe and Alaina Gossett, Broomfield, Colorado; many other relatives and friends.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elaine, three brothers, Gerald, Jack, and Galen Tacha.

VISITATION – Wednesday, February 10, 2016 –4:00 P.M until 7:00 P.M
