I'm sure my Dad, Claude Tacha and Allen are having a nice visit in Heaven.
When I was a kid back in the 60's,it looked like half of the Jennings phone book was Tacha's and now between everyone having a cell phone and that generation being gone, there are just a few listings. May God bless you all in this time of sadness.

Diane,
I am so sorry for your loss. I had a nice, long visit with your dad just about a year ago, which I really enjoyed. He had a full life, and I know he was loved by many, including myself. (I am Claude's youngest child.)
You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Diane and family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Allen was a joy to many who knew him. I especially enjoyed discussing politics, farming, weather and whatever else. It made me proud when he'd give me a compliment on one of my meals. God bless you and I'll pray that God will give you strength.

Diane, I am so blessed to have been able to be a part of your dad's life! He could always bring a smile to my face on down days when I didn't much feel like smiling. Along with my mom he always razzed me about those huskers, but we shared a love for the broncos. He will be deeply missed by so many, including my family. He always asked where the boss was(Collin). Collin is going to miss him greatly too as he has been there since before collin was born. It wasn't until recently Collin learned he was a pitcher and had so many questions for him. I will miss him yelling BINGO and the ladies shaking their heads! Will be thinking of him often!

Diane
Thank-you for allowing us to be a part of your Dads life. If we ever wanted to know the score of any game all we had to do was ask Al he could tell us any of them he especially loved to razz me about my love for the HUSKERS and couldn't wait to let me know they LOST another on Sundays he would burst with pride when he talked about where his "fish" had swam and what place they had taken in their meets. He always would end it by saying they love to swim more than I do and we would remind him he loved baseball more than they probably did. Then he would go down and watch the Dr. on tv and take notes for me on what changes I needed to make in my life one story I remember very well was when he ordered Dr. Franks ointment for his shoulders and knees (as you know he always bought in bulk) the dr. had him convinced it was the cure all for everything well it didn't help and he later found out it was actually horse liniment didn't take him long to get rid of all those bottles and stop watching the Dr. on Sundays. He always had a nickname for the servers and they all answered to what he had nicknamed my girls names were Slim Jim Tiny and Joe they loved bantering back and forth with him. What I guess I'm trying to say is he will be missed for sure by all of us and no matter what his table will always be the "Tacha" table. Where ever he is I bet he is running the bases on his good legs and telling your mother how things should be done. May he rest in peace
