As a former overseas representative of US Wheat Associates it was one of my most appreciated opportunities to have worked with Joe Berry. His impact on the wheat industry was substantial and provided meaningful guidance during some of the stressful years we all faced. His experiences helped his colleagues to meet the challenges of the period and provided a sound foundation on which to continue marketing United States wheat around the world. His counsel will be missed by many. I am taking this means to extend my most heartfelt sympathy to his family.

I echo the comments from fellow harvesters Steve Suchsland and Don Farr about Joe's and Geneva's influences on my life. Hard work and integrity, meeting expectations -- important in all walks of life. Many fond memories of my two summers with JC and the crew. My sympathies to the family.

AS a member of the "JC and the Boys Harvest crew", we learned at lot about life and responsibility. He was a mentor and trainer for many young harvesters. Great memories of trips to and from the field in the back of a pick-up. He will be missed.

So sorry to hear of Joe's passing. I really enjoyed visiting with him during my years at Farm Bureau then having little chats with him and Elsie when I'd see them out in public. I always thought a lot of him. I know Uncle Lester(Fredde) will miss him, too. He always comments when he hasn't seen him and Elsie for awhile and wonders how he's doing. Asking God's blessings for peace for you as grieve.

My sincere condolences to the Berry family. Joe served on the Kansas Wheat Commission and with U.S. Wheat Associates when I was the Administrator of the Kansas Wheat Commission. Joe was a great board member. Always willing to step up and assist in whatever was needed. His was the voice of reason. He and the Democrats had a fun time picking on one another. Geneva was his great partner and we always enjoyed spending time with them. They represented rural Kansas and the wheat industry extremely well. May God, family and friends comfort you. Steven Graham, Manhattan, KS.

Steve and family,
Sorry to hear about your Dad. I am sure that he is rounding up a crew in heaven now. I can see a trail of mean green machines and blue trucks now.

I am so sad to read of J C passing. He was a special person who took many young kids on Harvest. I know he helped mold me into the person I am today
