Obituary of Anna Maxine Wiltfong

IN LOVING MEMORY OF ANNA MAXINE (STEPHENSON) WILTFONG Anna "Maxine" (Stephenson) Wiltfong, daughter of Robert Stephenson and Anna (Miller) Stephenson, was born April 30, 1932, in Rural Dellvale, Kansas, and passed away at the Norton County Hospital in Norton on May 9, 2015, at the age of 83. Maxine grew up in the Norton County area. She attended the Square Top County School and graduated from the Lenora Rural High School in 1949. Maxine went on to attend college at Central College of McPherson and also Fort Hays. On August 15, 1954, Carl Eugene Wiltfong and Anna Maxine Stephenson were united in marriage at the United Parish in Lenora, Kansas. Eugene and Maxine lived in Lenora until moving to Norton in December of 1958 where they made their home. Maxine served on many church committees and was the Flower chairman for over 30 years. She loved being a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed playing bridge and cooking. Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include: her husband, Eugene Wiltfong, of their home in Norton; three children, Douglas, and wife, Kelly Wiltfong, Stockton, Kansas; Beverly, and husband, Steve Brands, Ottawa, Kansas; Scott, and wife, Brenda Wiltfong, Doniphan, Nebraska; one brother, Bill Stephenson, Bay City, Michigan; one sister, Marcelyn, and husband David Bangle, Rural Wellington, Kansas; seven grandchildren, Jordann and Justin Wiltfong, Kyle and Stephanie Brands, Riley, Carson, and Kalee Wiltfong; many other relatives and friends. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Bob Stephenson, one sister, Marjorie Stephenson Roberts.
