Obituary of Joe Sweet
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
JOSEPH A. SWEET
Joseph Allen Sweet, son of Alex Ray "Skip" and Lois Marie (Franklin) Sweet, was born September 14, 1967, in Corpus Christi, Texas, and passed away in Norton, Kansas, on March 6, 2015, at the age of 47.
Joe was raised in a military family so they lived in many locations. He attended school in El Cajon, California, and graduated from high school there. He also served in the U.S. Navy. On June 22, 1985, Joe and Kelly Kole were united in marriage in El Cajon. They made their home in Commerce City, Colorado, before moving to Kansas. Joe worked as a machinist and was known as "Tink" to all those who knew and loved him.
Tink loved hunting, fishing, working on vehicles, and his beloved motorcycles. He especially loved Kelly's cooking. His greatest joy in life was spending time and talking "shit" with his family and friends. You always knew where you stood with him. He was a kindhearted, lovable man who will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include: his wife, Kelly, of their home in Norton; three children, Brandon Michael and Melissa Sweet, Reunion, Colorado; Tina and Tosha Sweet, Henderson, Colorado; Brittany and D.J. Porter, Norton, Kansas; one brother, Sam and Tim Sweet, Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Charity and Sugar; five grandchildren, Nathan, Serenity, Hailey, Joseph, and Wyatt; other relatives and many friends.
