Our sympathy to the Flax family. Our favorite memory of Gilbert was when they first moved to Norton and they bought a new mattress. He said the old one was "all bounced out."

Gladys and Linda, I was born and raised two miles east of your farm. My Dad, Lloyd Heikes, was a good friend of Gilbert's. My Dad had the highest regard for Gilbert and his work ethic. He was known fondly as "Flaxie" to my Dad. Your folks were considered wonderful neighbors and were part of the wonderful Good Hope Community that has given me the values and morals I have had in my life. My thoughts are with our family. Sincerely, Debbie (Heikes) Hagans

Gladys, Linda, & families,
Gilbert was a very unique & special person. Will always remember how your folks came here not even very familiar with the language, the hardships they must have endured. He was always happy & had a very jolly smile & laugh, friendly to everyone. Will never forget him.
Hoping that you can find comfort knowing him & Seraphina can be together again & watch over you all.
God Bless all of you.
