I am so sorry to hear of Johns passing. I remember him from growing up in the Jennings area and hadn't seen him for quite a while. I returned to play golf at Norton in 2001, and the first person to greet me was John. I couldn't believe he knew who I was, but still came to me with that great smile and a handshake. He was a great person, and my thoughts are with his family.

I knew John from his college days at FHSU and when he worked at the Golden Q in Hays. John was a very outgoing person and always excited to make things work. I used to hang out with John and Brad Lebeau and a few other guys on Monday nights when I would stay in Norton while I was working for the Coca Cola Co., had a lot of fun!! Blessings to you all, he will always be a great guy!! Jeff Hertel Victoria,Ks.

Lynn and Sandy, Our deepest sympathy goes out to your family. We know that Our Lord and Savior will comfort families and see you through these most difficult times. God will not give us any more than we can handle. We need to remember and lean on Him and call on Him in times like these. Lynn, we may hever understand the whys, which can be extremely hard, but we can know that John is with our Lord Jesus Christ, in Heaven, and dancing with the Angels. And, one day, you will meet up with him in Heaven, and you can all dance together again. May you find comfort in these words and the Promises that our Lord gives us in times like these.
Love to you and your family.

John was my neighbor for several years. I remember the John who flew up our street after work, honking as he pulled into his driveway. His little girls (and mine) would race out to greet him. John would change clothes and then come bounding outside to play with all the kids. Many crazy games of backyard ball and neighborhood water fights filled our summer evenings. The John I will always remember is the kind, fun-loving man who included my daughters in the good times he shared with his own.
