Obituary of Geraldine Fay Golbek

IN LOVING MEMORY OF GERALDINE F. GOLBEK Geraldine Fay Golbek, daughter of Gerald and Lela (Brown) Ruby, was born October 26, 1942, in McCook, Nebraska, and passed away at her home in Norton County, Kansas, on September 8, 2011, at the age of 67. Geraldine attended the schools in Danbury, Nebraska. On January 27, 1963, she married Gerald Golbek in Danbury. They later moved to Norton, where they lived for over 40 years. Geraldine was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Norton. She loved reading romance novels, gardening, and cats, but her greatest loves were her family and her dog Harley. Survivors include: her husband, Gerald, of their home in Norton County; one daughter, Letha Cox, McCook, Nebraska two grandchildren, Jennifer and Shaun Cox; one great-granddaughter, Chloe Johnson; other relatives and friends. Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Vicki Ruby, and one grandson, Matthew Cox. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Geraldine Golbek Memorial Fund.
