Obituary of William L. "Bill" Goscha
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
WILLIAM L. "BILL" GOSCHA
William L. "Bill" Goscha, son of Leo M. and Teresa E. (Schroer) Goscha, was born June 20, 1941, in Lenora, Kansas, and passed away at his home in Norton, Kansas, on April 17, 2011, at the age of 69.
Bill grew up in Norton County and attended schools in Edmond and Lenora, Kansas, and graduated from the Norton Community High School with the class of 1960. He served in the U.S. Amy Reserve. On August 19, 1961, Bill and Donna R. Lawson were united in marriage in Norton. They made their home in the Denver, Colorado, area from August 1961, until February 1969, at which time they returned to Norton. Bill was a lifelong farmer and beloved custodian at the Eisenhower Elementary School in Norton for 20 years.
Bill was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Norton, a member of the 3rd and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Harmonson-Redd American Legion Post #63, and the Eagles Lodge Aerie #3288.
Survivors include: his wife, Donna, of their home in Norton; three daughters, Kelley, and husband, Tim Gill, Kimberly, and husband, Doug Gallentine, Kaye Goscha, all of Norton; four grandchildren, Joshua and Jesse Gallentine, Tyson and Kailey Gill; two brothers and their wives, Donald and Alice Goscha, Norton; Robert and Sandy Goscha, Bartlesville, Oklahoma; six sisters, Imogene Hahn, Denver; Joan Riemann, Norton; Jean, and husband, Ronald Riemann, Beloit, Kansas; Evelyn, and husband, Chriss McDiffett, Norton; Marilyn, and husband, Bill Schrum, Norton; Karen, and husband, Max Parsons, Ness City, Kansas; other relatives and many friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Jerome Goscha, one sister, Jeanine Augustine, three brothers-in-law, Wilbert Hahn, Harold Riemann, and Ronald Augustine, and two sisters-in-law, Jeanne and Ruth Goscha.
Memorials have been established to the Hospice Services of Norton County and the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
