Obituary of Robert Louis Brown
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
ROBERT L. BROWN
Robert Louis Brown, son of Robert Leslie and Lois Elizabeth (Lipskey) Brown, was born November 22, 1928, in Norcatur, Kansas, and passed away at Mercy Regional Hospital in Manhattan, Kansas, on April 10, 2011, at the age of 82.
On December 5, 1954, Robert and Alice Mathes were united in marriage in Norton, Kansas, and to this union three children were born. Robert served in the U.S. Army from 1955 until 1957, and was honorably discharged with the rank of Corporal. Robert was an auto body instructor at the Northwest Kansas Technical College and later became a claims adjuster for 20 years at Kansas Claims until his retirement.
Robert was a lifetime member of the B.P.O.E.
Survivors include: his wife, Alice Brown, Manhattan, Kansas; two daughters, Barbara Brown, Conifer, Colorado; Catherine and husband, Gary Crossley, Wamego, Kansas; one son, Anthony, and wife, Cynthia Brown, Portage, Michigan; one granddaughter, Emily Brown; two step-grandchildren, Marissa and Gabriel Connell; one step-great-grandchild, Brylee Connell; four brothers-in-law, Gwynn Ward, Clayton, Kansas; Bill and wife, Rose Mathes, Norton; David and wife, Karen Mathes, Loveland, Colorado; Jimmy and wife, Sherry Mathes, Branson, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Rosa Brown, Norton; Pat Mathes, Colorado Springs, Colorado; other relatives and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gerald Brown, and one sister, Nadine Dick.
