Obituary of Lawrence E. Wiseman

IN LOVING MEMORY OF LAWRENCE E. WISEMAN Lawrence Eldon Wiseman, son of Ernest Lester and Wilma (Blackwell) Wiseman, was born November 29, 1929, in Clayton, Kansas, and passed away at the Andbe Home in Norton, Kansas, on March 18, 2011, at the age of 81. Lawrence moved to Idaho with his family as a child but returned to Norton and spent his teen years with his aunt and uncle, Doris and Wayne Rule. He attended the Norton Community High School and served in the U.S. Army. On September 14, 1952, Lawrence and Wilma Hines were united in marriage in Norton and to this union four children were born. They made their home in Norton County where they farmed and raised livestock. Lawrence was a member of the Norton Christian Church and past member of the Masons and Norton Squarenaders. He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed making many projects for his family. He also had a love for collecting, especially for antique license plates. Survivors include: his wife, Wilma, of their home in Norton; four children and their spouses, Connie and Ben Griebel, Sargent, Nebraska; Dean and Bobbi Wiseman, Norton; Don and Carolyne Wiseman, Edmond, Kansas; Sandy and Bob Husted, Norton; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Lowell Wiseman, Lorene Wiseman, Freda, and husband, Merle Talkington, all of Caldwell, Idaho; his aunt, Doris Rule, Dodge City, Kansas; other relatives and friends. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Norman Wiseman, and his uncle, Wayne Rule. Memorials may be made to Lawrence Wiseman Memorial Fund.
