I met Bob when I was a nursing student in Norton. We would do clinicals at the Andbe Home. I had the honor and the privelege of getting to know Bob when I was assigned to be with him. He had the sunniest disposition, and treated all those around him with pure happiness. Bob was so proud of his flowers and gardening, and taught me many things about flowers I didn't know. One of the main things Bob taught me was to play dominoes. He was an expert. We LPN students couldn't wait to get our tasks done so we could spend time with Bob playing dominoes. It didn't matter where we were, we could count on him to find a table where we could all play. I wished I could have spent more time with him after I graduated from school. Bob will truly be missed here on earth, but somewhere up there, I know that he's playing dominoes and sharing a laugh with the angels. And the best thing of all is that the Lord has relieved him from his pain. Peace be with his family and friends.

There is two stories I will always treasure about Bob. One day in Ocala we went to the lumbar yard and it was luch time. After picking up what Bob needed at the yard we were hungry. Next door was a Hooters and I asked Bob if he had ever ate at Hooters and he said no and I told him I had never ate there either. We went in and ordered iced teas and burgers. We got drinks right away but never our sandwiches. So after an hour of waiting and asking about our lunch several times we left. Went back to the homestead and had bologna sandwiches. The other story is about the time we had an accident in the Caprice. We were going to barber shop and while waiting at an intersection in Belleview we were hit by a semi. When we were hit Bob said oh dear, as we went through the intersection being pushed by a semi Bob said oh dear, when Bob put his feet down on the groung after opeing his door oh dear but when he saw the damage he said OH DEAR!!!!!. Bob was one of the finest gentleman I ever met and I was proud to have had him as my father-in-law. May you rest in peace and keep the cards a going until all meet at the card table in the sky.

I have so many memories of Grandpa Bob. Let's just say though that my fondest memory is that he picked us up when we were homeless in Bakersfield, gave us a home in Norton and accepted me as a grand daughter. I love and miss you Grandpa!
