To the Carlin Family, friends and Norton County Community: What a hoot Carol was in her friendship, so forthright, honest, loving, humor and caring about all folks. My thoughts, prayers, sympathy as you grieve the loss of a wonderful woman.

Willie and Kids,
Your wife, mother and Grandmother was a very kind and caring person to all who knew her. My favorite memories of her were when I first met her in Lenora at Hensley's Cafe. I had stopped there to see if there was anyone in town that I knew or wanted to hang out with that evening. Willie and I were best of friends in high school and spent many hours cruising the streets and highways near Lenora in my black '51 Ford coupe. Neither of us had much to do with girls, probably because we were too bashful to ask them for a date. I was standing in the cafe when someone approached me that turned out to be my friend Willie. He said that he had someone there who he wanted me to meet. It turned out to be Carol who he introduced to me as his fiancee. I was shocked to say the least but soon realized that the two of them had something very special which lasted for a little over 60 years. So sorry that she will not be there to answer my calls when I call to visit with you Willie. She always said "let me holler at the old man."
