Obituary of Ronald J Shearer

IN LOVING MEMORY OF RONALD J. SHEARER Ronald Jay Shearer was born August 29, 1943 in Rural Norton, Kansas to Merle and Elsie (Douk) Shearer. He passed away on November 23, 2020 at the Bryan Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 77. Ron grew up in Almena and was a graduate of Almena High School. On October 27, 1963, he married Judy Ann McMillin in Norton, KS. Ron worked for the City of Almena, was a parts manager for an implement company and a truck driver. Most recently, he handled the maintenance for Nelson Hog Farms in Almena. Ron was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy in 2009; sons, Randall and Tracy and sisters, Ilene Coomes and Irma Nagy. He is survived by his children, Kelly Shearer of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, Terry Shearer of Oxford, Nebraska and Crystal Hagan of Kearney, Nebraska; sister, Wanda Jackson of Hill City, Kansas; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Almena, Kansas. Visitation will be Monday, November 30, 2020 from 1-7:00 pm at the Enfield Funeral Home, Norton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald Shearer Memorial Fund.
