Don was a special person and when you moved to Norton he made my visits to the drugstore!! Teasing about Nebraska and KU athletics were one of my highlights when “coming home” in 1960s forward. Earlier he always kidded about my running to the store heading for magazines and comic books. Growing up downtown was unusual but he made a kid welcome!!! He was so positive and fun. I always looked forward to walking in the store and his smile and welcome and he recognized right away!!! Believe I look3 different over the years!! He is a real reason I’m so proud I was blessed to grow up in Norton!!! Blessings and Gods peace!!! Truly a great man and a friend. Herb Gwaltney and family
