Obituary of Brenda K. Kaus

IN LOVING MEMORY OF BRENDA K. KAUS Brenda Kay Kaus, daughter of Donald E. and Betty Jo (Jackson) Alexander, was born March 13, 1952, in Norton, Kansas, and passed away peacefully at her home in Norton, on August 28, 2020, at the age of 68. Brenda grew up in the Norcatur community, attending the Norcatur schools and graduating with the class of 1970. On January 9, 1971, Brenda married the love of her life, John M. Kaus, in Norton, and together they raised two children. Brenda enjoyed being a homemaker and also worked in customer service for several local businesses. She also spent several years as caregiver for her parents in their later years. She and John were currently enjoying their retirement and newly-built home and spending quality time with their family, especially their grandchildren. Brenda was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and Altar Society and the American Legion Auxiliary in Norton. Survivors include: her loving husband, John, of their home in Norton; one daughter, Michele, and husband, Jim Railsback, Norton; one son, Mike, and wife, Jaime Kaus, Manhattan, Kansas; five grandchildren, Shyann, Cope and Knox Railsback, Norton; Carter and Kinsley Kaus, Manhattan; several brothers-and-sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Donny Joe Alexander and one sister, Barb Marvin. ROSARY – Sunday, August 30, 2020 – 7:00 p.m. at the Enfield Funeral Home in Norton.
