You do not know me, but I am the mother of two kids with Camp Lakeside connections who were positively touched by Tyler. Our family is saddened by the news of his death. I just wanted you to know that my daughter Allison along with others from our church knew Tyler from attending camp with him some years ago. She was also a counselor at Camp Lakeside last year. My son Madison will be attending his last year at sports camp this month. He and his church friends have had Tyler as a camp counselor. Tyler's memory will live on in kids that you do not even know as the stories I've been told are of his strengths in building relationships and sharing God's love with others. We will continue to pray for strength for your family.

It has been difficult to formulate our thoughts over the last few days to share the Tyler's family and friends. Some of us, along with the Norton community, watched Tyler grow up and some of us just met Tyler within the last month when he joined our team. We want to thank Tyler's family for sharing him with us. He was a great joy. Tyler's kindness and attentive demeanor surpassed his young age by far. He took great care and pride in his work each day. Tyler joyfully shared with us his love for his family. He also shared how proud he was of his sister and admirably expressed the hard work she devoted to play college ball.
Tyler also shared how important it was for him to be apart of an organization that helped those in need regardless of how small his part would be. We miss Tyler deeply. We pray for Tyler's safe return to the Lord. We will continue to pray for Tyler's family and friends for easier days ahead.

Tyler was well liked and respected even in his very short time at Valley Hope; staff talk about how quickly he caught on and how smart he was and we were all looking forward to working with him for years to come.
