Carol and Family,
Our condolences on Gil's death. He was a good man, a great man, a champion for the cause of life.
He had a quick smile, a quick wit, and a genuine heart.
I am proud to have had him as a brother in the faith. He was a true witness to Catholic discipleship. God, I'm sure, has just got to be very pleased with him.
FYI, I did the Stations of the Cross for him the day after I learned of his death. With that, and under the right conditions, that merits -- through the grace of God -- a plenary indulgence.
You are in our prayers.
Mark (and Cheryl) Roberti

I am truly sorry to hear of this great loss.
I will never forget Gil. Looking back on my student exchange year in the Otter family 20 years ago, I have to emphasize that Gil's guidance, wisdom, and faith had a great impact on my future life. Thank you, Gil!
I hope that our Lord brings you and your family the much-needed peace during this sad time. My condolences to the family.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Gil's passing. He was a special person and always had time to share his wit and wisdom with anyone. He shared a variety of hot peppers with me! He was a steadfast servant in his Parish. Carol and family, may God hold you close.

Where do I begin, words can’t even express how sad I am for the loss of Uncle Gil. He was my first boss when I babysat for him and aunt Carol upon their return to Lenora. I have many memories of him growing up esp our wonderful holiday get together at the New Almelo Parrish hall at Christmas time. He will be greatly missed!! Aunt Carol and family my thoughts and prayers are with you always but esp over the next few days! May you all find peace and comfort holding strong and steadfast to your faith in a loving Heavenly Father and knowing families are ETERNAL! May you have all the blessings you stand in need of. I wish I could be there this week but know that I am there in spirit! Love and hugs to each of you
