Obituary of Benton Lawrence Tibbetts
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
BENTON LAWRENCE TIBBETTS
Benton Lawrence Tibbetts, beloved son of Earl and Nola (Stevens) Tibbetts, was born March 17, 1934 in Densmore, Kansas and passed away at the Red Mountain Reflections Group Home in Mesa, Arizona on October 27, 2018, at the age of 84.
Benton grew up in Densmore, attended Densmore High School and graduated from Central in McPherson, KS. He later went on to attend college at Kansas State University where he received his Master's Degree. On October 15, 1955, Benton and Reva Faye Snider were united in marriage in Casper, Wyoming. To this union three children were born, Beth Earlene, Douglas Benton, and Reva Elise.
Benton was a member of the Free Methodist Church, Evangelical Free Church, and Covenant Church and served as the choir director in all three. He also enjoyed singing bass and playing the piano.
Survivors include: three children, Beth Earlene Lynch, Lakewood, Colorado; Douglas Benton Tibbetts, Mesa, Arizona; Reva Elise Epstein, Arvada, Colorado; one brother, Merril Lane Tibbetts, Norton, Kansas; two sisters, Greta Beth Fletchall and Anita Dawn Bevill, Norton, Kansas; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several other relatives and friends.
Benton was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Merlin and Norman Tibbetts, and two sisters, Jane Tibbetts and Jewel Horn.
FUNERAL SERVICE- Saturday, November 3, 2018 – 2:00 P.M.
PLACE - Living Hope Fellowship – Norton, Kansas
VISITATION – Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 10:30 A.M until 11:30 A.M.
PLACE – Enfield Funeral Home – Norton, Kansas
INTERMENT – Norton Cemetery – Norton, Kansas
