Obituary of Orval E. Skrdlant

IN LOVING MEMORY OF ORVAL E. SKRDLANT Orval E. Skrdlant, son of Charles and Molly Barbara (Vosika) Skrdlant, was born March 5, 1933, on the family farm in Norton, Kansas, and passed away at the Norton County Hospital in Norton, on July 18, 2018, at the age of 85. Orval grew up in Norton County where he attended rural grade school. He served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. Following his honorable discharge, he returned to Norton to farm. On March 2, 1973, Orval and Judy Hawks-Wilson were united in marriage in Norton, and later divorced. Orval continued to live on the farm before moving to the Logan Manor in Logan, Kansas. Orval loved his life on the farm, caring for the land and animals, especially the peacocks. He enjoyed square dancing and playing cards, and he had a love of music playing the guitar and harmonica. His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his sons, Monte and Scott. Survivors include: two sons, Monte and Scott Skrdlant; one brother, Gerald Skrdlant, Chandler, Oklahoma; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Orval was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and five brothers. FUNERAL SERVICE - Saturday, July 21, 2018—11:00 AM PLACE – Enfield Funeral Home – 215 W.
