I was one of Alvin’s nurses at the Andbe Home for several years and I immediately became good friends with him, his smile and good nature would light up the room and no matter how rough my day was he always made it better! Even though Alvin could at times have a “gruff” side he would give you the shirt off his back. I loved bringing him in tomatoes out of my garden, especially when the plants came from him! He had a green thumb for sure. Rest In Peace my Friend, you made this nurses’ life much happier for many years and you will never be forgotten. Love always, Allie Whitt, RN
