Obituary of Betty Glennemeier
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
BETTY B. GLENNEMEIER
Betty B. Glennemeier, daughter of Russel and Wilma (LeBau) Desmond, was born June 2, 1948, in Norton County, Kansas. She passed away at the Andbe Home in Norton, on September 7, 2017, at the age of 69.
Due to the death of her mother when Betty was young, Betty was raised by her precious aunt and uncle, Eula and Lester Lebeau, in Norton, and attended the local schools, graduating from the Norton Community High School with the class of 1966. On July 14, 1967, Betty and William "Bill" Glennemeier were united in marriage at the Norton Christian Church. They made their home in Norton where they raised their family and where Betty worked as the head cook at the Norton County Hospital for many years. In July, they celebrated 50 years of marriage despite all the times "Wild Bill" played tricks on her.
Betty loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she enjoyed sewing and dancing.
Survivors include: her loving husband, "Sweet William" Glennemeier, of their home in Norton; six children, Ed, of Holyoke, Colorado; Regina, of Grand Island, Nebraska; Kenney, of Agra, Kansas; Kevin and Gregg, of Norton; and Tiresa, of Kearney, Nebraska; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her aunt and uncle, Eula and Lester, and one grandson, Brad.
