Obituary of Debra Eveleigh

IN LOVING MEMORY OF DEBRA (KROEGER) EVELEIGH Debra Eveleigh, daughter of Ehrenfried and Delores (Bolen) Kroeger, was born on December 2, 1953, in Wakeeney, Kansas, and passed away December 22, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska, at the age of 63. Debra grew up in Wakeeney and graduated from the Trego High School. On September 18, 1971, Debra and Curtis Eveleigh were united in marriage in Wakeeney, Kansas. After their marriage, Curtis and Debra lived in Cedar Bluff Lake, Kansas and Lyons, Kansas, before making their home in Norton where they owned Norton Sports Center and Norton Theaters. Debra was a member of the Jaycees Club in Norton, an organizer for the Norton BB Gun, the little league softball, and the Veterans Hunt. She was also the Charter organizer for the Norton Home Owned Carnival for 25 years. Her greatest love was her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Survivors include: her father, Ehrenfried Kroeger; Wakeeney, KS; her loving husband, Curtis Eveleigh, Norton, KS; three children, Christine Thompson; Nicole Stevens; Craig Eveleigh; three sisters, Sandra Schoenberger, Mankato, KS; Wanda Kroeger, Wakeeney, KS; Raelene Stoecklein, Garden City, KS; six grandchildren; several other relatives and friends. Debra was preceded in death by her mother, Delores Kroeger. FUNERAL SERVICE – Tuesday, December 27, 2016 –10:00 A.M.
