Obituary of Robert A Millan

IN LOVING MEMORY OF ROBERT A. MILLAN Robert “Bob” A. Millan, son of Manuel and Isabelle (Manzo) Millan, was born on March 3, 1936, in Norton, Kansas, and peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Norton County Hospital in Norton, on December 22, 2016, at the age of 80. Bob grew up in Norton and graduated from the Norton Community High School. He also served in the U.S. Navy. Bob worked at Jack Ward’s Sporting Goods for many years. In 1985, Bob and Marguerite operated the R & M Motel, until selling in 2009. He also owned J & R Liquor. Bob was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. One of his favorite things to do was refereeing for football, which he did for 57 years. His greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include: three children, John Millan, and significant other, Dian Addington; Robert, and wife, Michelle Millan; Angela, and husband, Don Porter; four step-children, Vickie Cox; Pam Dibble; Mark Godbout; DeeDee Urbach; one sister, Kathleen Hauck; five grandchildren; 14 step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren; two sister-in-laws, Donna Millan and Maxine Millan; many other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents; Marguerite Godbout; Manuel Millan; Joe Millan and Nish Millan. MASS OF THE CHRISTIAN BURIAL – Friday, December 30, 2016 –10:30 A.M.
