Obituary of Glenda D. Hahn

IN LOVING MEMORY OF GLENDA D. HAHN Glenda Darlene Hahn, daughter of Lawrence and Bessie (Mayo) Collins, was born May 12, 1918, in Hendley, Nebraska, and passed away at the Andbe Home in Norton, Kansas, on October 14, 2016, at the age of 98. Glenda grew up in the Hendley community where she attended the local schools. On December 15, 1934, Glenda and R. Harold Hahn were united in marriage in Norton. Following their marriage, they made their home in California for five years, then moved to a farm in rural Nebraska. They later moved to the family farm in Norton County, and in 1971, they moved into Norton. Glenda was a homemaker and also owned and operated Hahn's Hobby and Ceramic Shop for many years. Glenda's husband, Harold, passed away in December 5, 1985. She continued to make her home in Norton and due to declining health, she spent her last few years in the Andbe Home. Glenda was a member of the Devizes Ladies Aid Club, the Hobby Club, and spent many years involved in 4-H. Survivors include: her daughter-in-law, Kay Lene Hahn, Norton; six grandchildren, R. Kyle Hahn, Oberlin, Kansas; R. Kurt (Cyndi) Hahn, Wichita, Kansas; R. Kent (Julie) Hahn, Stockton, Kansas; Kayla S. (Kevin) Wurm, Dresden, Kansas; R. Kevin (Leigh Ann) Hahn, Olathe, Kansas; and R. Kendall (Magali) Hahn, Bellevue, Nebraska; 23 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Margaret Collins; other relatives and friends. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, Richard Hahn, three brothers, Clair, Gerald, and Jim Collins, and four sisters, Lorena Yeager, Hazel Jenson, Delores Brown, and Bonnie Ryerson. Main – Norton, KS INTERMENT – Norton Cemetery – Norton, KS MEMORIAL – Andbe Home and Hospice Services of Norton County. VISITATION – Monday, October 17, 2016 – 5:00-7:00 PM PLACE – Enfield Funeral Home in Norton.
