Obituary of Roger Biggs
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
ROGER LOGAN BIGGS
Roger Logan Biggs, son of Paul Albert and Lucille Mae (Fischer) Biggs, was born January 3, 1947, in Grant, Nebraska, and passed away at his home in Norton, Kansas, on September 27, 2016, at the age of 69.
Roger grew up in Grant, Nebraska and graduated from Grant High School. On November 29, 1969, Roger was united in marriage to his soul-mate, Connie Markussen, in Ogallala, Nebraska. For the next 25 years, Roger traveled the United States working as a lineman. He and his family lived in the surrounding towns of Grant, Nebraska and Chappell, Nebraska, before finally settling in Norton, Kansas.
Though his primary occupation was building power lines, Roger was a "jack-of-all-trades" and his many interests always showcased his brilliant mind and his enjoyment of working with his hands. He held a high appreciation for good music, good conversation, and good friends. His honesty, generous spirit, sharp wit, and quick sense of humor endeared him to anyone who was fortunate enough to get to know him.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Mary Jean Lightner, and one daughter, Michelle Dawn Biggs.
Survivors include: his wife, Connie Biggs; his son, Shawn David Biggs; his daughter, Amanda Sue Biggs; his granddaughter, Shelby Lynn Dorr; his brother, Paul Laverne Biggs and wife Phyllis; five nieces: Kristi Schwab, Jackie Lightner, Kristi Grafford, Rona Boyd, and Elaine Biggs, and many other relatives and friends.
