Obituary of Clifford Spratlen
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
CLIFFORD A. SPRATLEN, JR.
Clifford A. Spratlen, JR., 94, was born in Logan, KS. He had a life-long devotion to his family and country. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bethel L. Nicholas. Clifford served in the Army Artillery Corps as a liaison pilot during World War II.
He is survived by two sons, Terence C. Spratlen of Layton, UT and Nicholas L. Spratlen of Kennesaw, GA, five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two cousins, Carmen Lesh of Norton, KS and Jerry Geror of West St. Paul, MN.
Clifford resided after the war in McCook, NE, where he was a career employee of the US Post Office. He returned to Kansas in 1998, living in Norton. He passed away peacefully on July 13, 2016 at the Logan Manor in Logan, KS.
