Obituary of Glenna Sproul
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
GLENNA V. (HUFFMAN) SPROUL
Glenna Vernalee (Huffman) Sproul, daughter of Vernie and Roxie (Stephen) Huffman, was born on January 9, 1924, in Rural Edmond, Kansas, and peacefully passed away at the Norton County Hospital, on July 12, 2016, at the age of 92.
Glenna grew up in the rural Edmond community and attended the Edmond schools. On July 6, 1941, she married Lloyd Sproul at her parent's home in rural Edmond. They made their home on the family farm north of Edmond where they farmed and raised their family. In later years, they had made their home in Norton in Timbercreek development and later moved into the Andbe Home.
Glenna was an active member at the E.U.B./Methodist Church in Edmond where she played the piano and organ, and was also the president of the United Methodist Women. Following their move to Norton, they attended the Methodist Church in Norton. Glenna enjoyed, sewing, cooking for her family, and traveling. A few of the places Glenna and Lloyd had traveled to were, Texas where they went into Mexico, Arizona, and Utah. On one of their trips to Arizona, Glenna took her parents to visit also. While traveling in Utah, Lloyd and Glenna visited the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Her greatest love was all of her children, especially her grandchildren who they had taken to a Kansas City Royals game and would attend all of their sporting events.
Survivors include: two sons and their wives, Joe and Kandi Sproul, Edmond; Robert and Shirley Sproul, Norton; one daughter and her husband, Sally and Robert Clydesdale, Edmond; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Glenna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd; one sister, Kathleen; one brother, Rex; infant great-grandson, Atkins Lloyd Clydesdale.

VISITATION – Sunday, July 17, 2016 5:00 – 7:00 PM
PLACE – Enfield Funeral Home – Norton, Kansas
INTERMENT – Edmond Cemetery – Edmond, Kansas
MEMORIALS – Colby Nursing School, Norton Campus
