Claire had the best smile and laugh (chuckle)as he always made me laugh. He taught me a lot in my early agent career with Farm Bureau in Garden City. We also shared time on the golf course and occasional fishing trip. He was a true gentlemen and will be missed by many. Our prayers are with you all in this time of need. Craig Weigel

When Clair came to Manter, KS to teach, he lived with my parents, Mildred & Freeman Walker. I had started Nursing school, so it was a while before I knew him. He lived with them several years, and became a part of our family. He met Norma Jean while he was in Manter. She was Ellen Kay's best friend. He was very special, as you well know. I will miss him but many fond memories will remain.
My condolences to each and every one in his family.
Love, "Chinky"
