Obituary of Ida Marie Cochran
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
IDA M. COCHRAN
Ida M. Cochran (Nuttycomb), daughter of Harold and Gertrude (Hewitt) Nuttycomb, was born November 18, 1938, in Almena, Kansas, and passed away at the Andbe Home in Norton, on April 4, 2016, at the age of 77.
Ida grew up in the Almena area and graduated from the Almena Rural High School. On August 18, 1957, Ida and Nile "Mick" Cochran were united in marriage in Almena, Kansas. Mick traveled for his job. After living in several western states, Mick and Ida moved to Montrose, Colorado and made their home there for several years before returning to Norton. Ida worked as a Para Professional at the Norton Community High School.
Ida was a member of the First Church of God. She enjoyed fishing and hunting with her husband Mick. Ida's greatest love was raising her family.
Survivors include: her husband, Nile "Mick" Cochran, Norton; one daughter, Tamra Cochran, Norton; numerous nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and friends.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents; one son, William "Bill" Cochran; one brother, Tom Nuttycomb; one sister-in-law, Linda Nuttycomb; one sister, Eva Mae Nuttycomb.
FUNERAL SERVICE – Saturday, April 9, 2016 –2:00 P.M.
PLACE – First Church of God – Norton, Kansas
VISITATION – Friday, April 8, 2016 –5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
PLACE – Enfield Funeral Home – Norton, Kansas
INTERMENT – Mt. Hope Cemetery – Almena, Kansas
