Obituary of William E Georgeson

IN LOVING MEMORY OF WILLIAM "BILL" E. GEORGESON William "Bill" E. Georgeson, son of Albert and Opal (Carpenter) Georgeson, was born March 20, 1932 on a farm in Graham County, Kansas, and passed away April 3, 2016 at the Norton County Hospital surrounded by his family, at the age of 84. Bill grew up in Graham County except for a brief time he attended the Brown County Country School in eastern Kansas. After moving back he attended grade school at the Union Country School south of Lenora. He graduated from Lenora High School and went on to attend Kansas State for 1 ½ years. After college, Bill served his country for three years in the Marine Corp. On December 31, 1955, Bill and Irene Bollig were united in marriage in Raton, New Mexico. Bill and Irene lived south of Lenora, Kansas but for a year moved to Wichita, Kansas where he worked at Boeing. They moved back to Lenora, Kansas, where they farmed. Bill enjoyed farming, dancing, watching sports, movies, and listening to music. His greatest love was spending time with his children and grandchildren and watching all their school events. Survivors include: one son, Terry Georgeson, Norton, Kansas; three daughters, Kimberly Georgeson, Norton, Kansas; Gwendolyn Poore, and her husband, Patrick, Blaine, Minnesota; Sharon DeKock, and husband, Douglas, Oskaloosa, Iowa; one brother, Max Georgeson, and wife, Deanna, Norton, Kansas; one sister, Gail (Georgeson) Brooks, and husband, Bill, Clayton, Kansas; five grandchildren, Trevor Poore, Taylor Poore, Kirstin Georgeson, Tanner DeKock, Keaton DeKock; many other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother, Jack Georgeson. FUNERAL SERVICE – Friday, April 8, 2016 – 11:00 A.M.
