Obituary of Wanda Sheley
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
WANDA L. SHELEY
Wanda L. Sheley (Palmer), daughter of Ivan and Nellie Palmer, was born April 6, 1931, in Wilsonville, Nebraska, and passed away at the Norton County Hospital on March 24, 2016, at the age of 84.
Wanda grew up in the Wilsonville area and attended the Wilsonville schools. On October 6, 1951, David Sheley and Wanda were united in marriage in Longmont, Colorado. Wanda and David lived at their farmhouse outside of Norton until 20 years ago when they moved into town. Wanda was a homemaker and loved being a farmers wife.
Wanda enjoyed crafts, attending auctions and she especially enjoyed shopping at Hobby Lobby. Her greatest love was her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: her husband, David Sheley, of their home in Norton; two children, Ivan Sheley; Lora, and husband, Jerry Darling; two brothers, Lewis Palmer; Keith Palmer; six grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren with two on the way; many other relatives and friends.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jeanette Hollinger; one brother, Larry Palmer.
FUNERAL SERVICE – Wednesday, March 30, 2016 –10:30 A.M.
PLACE – Enfield Funeral Home – Norton, Kansas
VISITATION – Tuesday, March 29, 2016 –5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
