Obituary of Randall Joseph Streit

IN LOVING MEMORY OF RANDALL J. STREIT Randall, (Randy) Streit, 58, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, godfather, uncle, and friend, went to meet the Lord on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in Norton, KS, at the age of 58. Randy was born in Norton, KS on May 2, 1957, and was the fifth child of Victor and Patricia (Urban) Streit. He was born and raised in the Norton County, KS area and attended grade school in Clayton, KS., and later finished his education in the Norton School District in Norton, KS. He was a member of the class of 1975. For many years following he worked at New Age Industrial in Norton, KS, and later moved to Colby, KS where he was an employee at A & A Coors for 15 years. He was presently retired. Randy was a very hard worker and his work ethic in life was very admirable. Randy was the father to three children, Jason Michael, James Andrew, and Amy Jo Streit. He was extremely proud of all of his children, and grandchildren. Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Patricia Streit, his grandparents, Henry "Hank" and Marie (Nusse) Streit and William "Bill" and Bertha (Jacobs) Urban, one brother, Roger Henry Streit, one sister, Patricia Marie (Streit) Gilman, two infant brothers, Michael Lee Streit and Mark Gregory Streit, two nieces, Shanna Elizabeth Streit and Emily Jean Streit, uncles Duane Streit, Eugene "Gene" Streit, William "Bill" Urban, Arthur "Art" Urban, Paul Miner, Harry Jones, Arnold "Arnie" Shearer, Otis Dahle, and aunts Gwendolyn (Streit) Bruggaman, Sylvia (Urban) Dahle, and Shirley (Kent) Urban. Survivors include his sons, Jason and wife, Jackie (Newton) Streit, and children, Jamie and Joseph (Joey), Kansas City, MO; James Streit, Kansas City, MO; Amy Streit, and daughter, Payton, Hoxie, KS; brothers Rob Streit, Bellingham, WA; Ron and Denise (Kleffner) Streit, Gretna, NE; Richard and Brenda (Forrester) Streit, Las Vegas, NV; Victor "Ray" and Tammy (Cassatt) Streit, Salina, KS; Ralph and Lynn (Thorton) Streit, Larned, KS; and sister Pamela (Streit) Bigge, Norton, KS; and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, and cousins. A memorial service/Mass to honor and celebrate Randy's life will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Norton, KS, on April 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., immediately followed by burial at his final resting place in St. Joseph Cemetery, New Almelo, KS. The Randy Streit Memorial Fund has been established at the Almena State Bank in Norton, KS.
