Obituary of Roy Gnagy

IN LOVING MEMORY OF ROY R. GNAGY JR. Roy Riley Gnagy Jr., son of Roy Gnagy Sr. and Olive Kinser, was born September 20, 1925, in Allison, Kansas, and passed away December 5, 2015, at his home in Norton, at the age of 90. Roy attended Allison grade school and Jennings High School until he was drafted into the U.S. Navy. Roy worked in the oil industry and traveled all over the United States. On January 9, 1965, Roy and Mary Troutner were united in marriage in Norton, Kansas. To this union three children were born. Roy and Mary made their home in Norton where he worked as an electrician. Roy was a former member of the I.O.O.F. He was an active member at the First Church of God where he served on the Board of Trustees and was a choir member. Roy enjoyed square-dancing, singing, playing the guitar, playing cards, and gardening. Roy was a handyman who loved to work on anything and everything. Roy's greatest love was his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include: his loving wife, Mary Gnagy, of their home in Norton; three children, Starla, and husband, Tracy Post, Beatrice, Nebraska; Trudy Gnagy, Kansas City, Missouri; Jerald, and wife, Tammy Gnagy, Louisville, Kentucky; one sister, Josephine Holub, Barstow, California; six grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Kay Albert, Donald Eugene, John D. Gnagy; three sisters, Frances Whitney, May Maddy and Neva Erhardt.
