Obituary of Harriett Gill

IN LOVING MEMORY OF HARRIETT J. GILL Harriett Jewel Gill, daughter of Clifford and Cora (Davis) Gill, was born October 26, 1942, in Pueblo, Colorado, and passed away November 30, 2015, at the Norton County Hospital, at the age of 73. Harriett grew up in Rye, Colorado and graduated from the Rye High School. In September 1959, Harriett married Ernest Eugene Griffin. To this union five children were born. Harriett lived in Clarkston, Washington, Pueblo, Colorado, Denver, Colorado and Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she worked for the Department of Human Service as an accountant and later becoming an Income Maintenance Technician and Supervisor. In 1997, Harriet retired and moved to Norton, where she made her home. Harriett was an Eagle Auxiliary member and held office for several terms for the City Council. She loved to fish and camp with her children and her grandchildren. Harriett loved all animals, flowers and gardens. Her greatest love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include: five children, Sherry Hickman, Norton; Flint, and wife, Carla Griffin, Norton; Douglas Griffin, Norton; Georgia, and husband, Joel Smith, Lyons, Kansas; Teresa, and husband, Jerry Tolle, Norton; one brother, Clifford "Tom" Gill, and wife, Kathy, Black Mountain, North Carolina; two sisters, Clarice Holliday, Vancouver, Washington; Margie, and husband, Donald Brooks, Lakewood, Colorado; her greatest loves, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several other relatives and friends. Harriett was preceded in death by her parents.
