Obituary of Lena June Hixon
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
LENA JUNE HIXON
Lena June Hixon, daughter of Gilbert and Lydia (Cantrell) Moose, was born May 18, 1931, in Sulphur, Oklahoma, and passed away at the Andbe Home in Norton, Kansas, on July 16, 2010, at the age of 79.
Lena attended the schools in Sulphur, and also attended two years at the University of Oklahoma. She lived in Oklahoma, Washington, D.C., and Denver, Colorado, where she was a private bookkeeper. On April 22, 1971, June and Charles Eugene Hixon were united in marriage in Littleton, Colorado. They made their home in the Colorado area before moving to Norcatur, Kansas.
June had volunteered at hospitals while living in Denver, and she also enjoyed various arts and crafts.
Survivors include: her husband, Charles, and her son, Christopher Hixon, both of Norcatur; one sister, Kathy Easter, of North Carolina; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sue Lauvetz.
There were no services held for Mrs. Hixon.
A memorial has been established to the Lena June Hixon Memorial Fund.
