Obituary of Darilyn Peterson

IN LOVING MEMORY OF DARILYN (PETERS) PETERSON Darilyn (Peters) Peterson, daughter of Darrel and Maedean (Wolfe) Peters, was born May 16, 1958, in Neligh, Nebraska, and passed away November 21, 2015, at the Norton County Hospital, at the age of 57. Darilyn grew up in Clearwater, Nebraska until 1968, when her father was offered a job in Norfolk, Nebraska, where she attended the Grant School and graduated from the Norfolk Senior High with the Class of 1976. On September 11, 1977, Billy Peterson and Darilyn Peters were united in marriage in Norfolk, Nebraska. Darilyn and Billy lived in Norfolk, Nebraska until 1990. They then moved to O'Neill, Nebraska for seven years before returning back to Norfolk until 2007, when they decided to move to Norton, Kansas so Darilyn could be closer to her precious first-born grandchild. While living in Norton, Darilyn worked part-time at Jamboree, but was overjoyed with the role of being a full-time Grandma. Darilyn enjoyed taking nature walks, especially with her grandkids. Two years ago, Darilyn and her friend Lisa had a bake sale to benefit the Relay For Life. She loved cooking, backing, and dancing with her beloved husband, who never was too fond of dancing. Darilyn was a shining star in this world and will forever be watching over her loved ones from above. Survivors include: her loving husband, Billy Peterson, of their home in Norton; two sons, Brandon, and wife, Kyla Peterson, Norton; Dustin Peterson, and his significant other, Mailena Millard; two brothers, Ken, and wife, Susana Peters, Pierce, Ne.; Keith, and wife, Denise Peters, Buford, Ga.; one sister, Barb, and husband, Roger Fritz, Lake Dallas, Tx.; four grandchildren, Allison Marie, Morgan Ann, William Wayne, and Mariah Ann Peterson; several other relatives and friends.
