Obituary of Irene Emma Hazlett

IN LOVING MEMORY OF IRENE E. HAZLETT Irene Emma Hazlett, daughter of Ervin and Pauline (Mayer) Hafliger, was born January 24, 1923, in Wakeeney, Kansas, and passed away October 23, 2015, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 92. On July 27, 1946 Lester Hazlett and Irene Hafliger were united in marriage in Norton. Following their marriage they made their home in Norton where Irene was an office worker for the State of Kansas for 40 years. Irene enjoyed competitive bowling and was ABC and WIBC league champion for over 30 years. Survivors include: one sister, Mary Ann Shiever of Tulsa, OK; nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Hazlett, her parents, six brothers, Harold, Lyle, Howard, Wayne, Ross and Kenny Hafliger, one sister, Lois Metzinger.
