Obituary of Elmer Dale Goss

IN LOVING MEMORY OF ELMER DALE GOSS Elmer Dale Goss, son of Orley and Bernice (Wycoff) Goss, was born November 24, 1936, in Norton County, Kansas, and passed away at the Norton County Hospital in Norton on April 25, 2015, at the age of 78. Dale grew up in the Norton County area. He attended the Country Schools and graduated from the Norcatur High School. Dale married Berneta Laughlin and to this union Richard, Richela, and Rusty were born. On December 3, 1999, Dale and Leota Scott were united in marriage. They made their home in Norton in the early 2000s. Dale farmed for most of his life. He worked for Harold Curran aka "Mort" for many years until Harold retired from farming. He also drove the Norton school buses for 35 years as a full – time driver and was still a sub-driver. He loved woodworking, tinkering on different projects, and going out to the lake. Dale would also repair toys for his grandchildren. His greatest love was his children, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his dog Katie. Survivors include: his wife, Leota Goss, of their home in Norton; two sons, Richard, and wife, Kelly Goss; Rusty, and wife, Shannon Goss; one daughter, Richela, and husband, Gus Huerta; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Donald L. Goss. FUNERAL SERVICE – Friday, May 1, 2015 –10:30 A.M PLACE – St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church- Norton, Kansas MEMORIAL FUND- Elmer Dale Goss Memorial Fund VISITATION – Thursday, April 30, 2015 – 5 P.M. until 7 P.M.
