Obituary of Ida M Drommer
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
IDA MAE. (TODD) DROMMER
Ida Mae (Todd) Drommer passed away March 23, 2015 at the Norton County Hospital, after a short illness.
She was born June 7, 1923 on her parents Gove County farm, 14 miles southeast of Quinter near the Trego County community of Banner, to Harry C and Pearl (Wilds) Todd. She attended rural schools and graduated from Quinter High School in 1941.
Ida Mae worked for the United Phone Company in Quinter and then worked for Southwestern Bell in Hays and then Wichita Kansas during WWII. In 1946, she transferred to Norton as Chief Operator and worked there until 1951. She married Chrissie Drommer Nov 11, 1949 and they moved to his parents' farm, northeast of Norton in 1951. They had two children, Susan and Steven who were raised on the farm. Steven was killed in an automobile accident in April 1976.
In 1978 they moved to Norton, but Chrissie continued farming until just before his death, July 7, 1996.
Her hobbies included embroidery, making appliquéd quilt tops, quilting and photography. She made many quilts that were enjoyed by her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She and Chrissie enjoyed collecting glass and traveling.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Susan and John Snodderley of Post Falls, Idaho, granddaughters Christina Snodderley, of Post Falls, Sabrina Snodderley of Dallas, Texas and Jonelle Olson, her husband Jon and great-grandsons Lyman and Preston Olson of Garfield, Washington and sister-in-law Betty Todd of Hannibal, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, brothers Harry E and Ernest Todd, sister Beulah Wilkinson, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Earle Wilkinson and Dorothy Todd.

MEMORIAL –Shrine Hospitals in Memphis and Houston
VISITATION – Sunday, March 29, 2015 – 4:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m
