Obituary of Della Connell

IN LOVING MEMORY OF DELLA CONNELL Della Connell, daughter of Frank J. and Gernia (Mitchem) Madden, was born August 25, 1911, on the family farm south of Clayton, Kansas, and passed away at the Andbe Home in Norton, Kansas, on January 3, 2015, at the age of 103. Della grew to womanhood in the Clayton community, attending the District 96 grade school and the Lenora Rural High School, graduating in 1929. She then worked for the United Telephone Company in Norcatur, Kansas. On May 6, 1931, Della and Ben R. Connell were united in marriage in Norton, and to this union one son, Donald, was born in 1932. They made their home 2 ½ miles northeast of Norcatur until December 1985, when they moved into Norton. In September 2001, they moved into the Andbe Home where Ben passed away in November 2001. Della remained in the Andbe Home until her death. Survivors include: nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Della was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, Donald, in March 2001.
