Obituary of Phillip A. Lesh
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
PHILLIP A. LESH
Phillip A. Lesh, son of Lando and Leila (Williams) Lesh, was born January 1, 1929, in Norton County, Kansas, and passed away at the Norton County Hospital, on December 1, 2014, in Norton, at the age of 85.
Phil grew up in Norton County and attended the Norton schools, graduating from the Norton Community High School. He also attended Kansas State University in Manhattan. On December 5, 1948, Phil and Isabel Carman Wiltrout were united in marriage in Norton, where they made their home and raised their family. Phil was the manager of the Norton Decatur Electric Company for many years and was a lobbyist and promoter of the rural electrical co-ops throughout Kansas.
Phil was a member of the Norton Christian Church where he actively participated in the choir for many years. He was a Past President of the Norton Lions Club, Past President of the local chapter for Kansas Crippled Children’s Association, and had also served on the Norton County Hospital board. Phil loved hunting with his children and Labrador Retrievers and many other outdoor activities.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Carman, of Norton; two daughters, Nancy, and husband, Mario Hernandez, Hugoton, Kansas; Lou Ann, and husband, Bryan Biggs, Overland Park, Kansas; one son, Eric Lesh, Wichita, Kansas; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Alan and Loren, four brothers, Ronald, Edgar, Gilbert, and Eugene, and one sister, Myrna Mizell Davis.
