Obituary of Leroy E Harper

IN LOVING MEMORY OF LEROY E. HARPER Leroy E. Harper, son of Elza and Charlotte Shadlow, was born May 14, 1934, in Norton County, Kansas, and passed away at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney, Nebraska, on July 18, 2014, at the age of 80. Leroy grew up in the Norton community and attended the Norton schools. On June 5, 1955, Leroy and Gladys Mustion were united in marriage in Indianola, Nebraska. They lived in Norton County all of their married lives, where Leroy was a farmer. Leroy loved doing carpentry work, western shows, and dogs. Survivors include: his wife, Gladys Harper, Norton; three nephews and their wives, Jon and Wendy Sloan, Norton, Kansas, Steve and Beth Loos, Wichita, Kansas, and Scott and Sheri Curran, Tulsa, Oklahoma; one niece, Marla Bamfield, St. Joseph, Kansas; other relatives and friends. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Wanda Sloan, Bonnie Curran, and Valeta Loos, and one niece, Tammy.
