Obituary of Ruth Richardson
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
RUTH L. RICHARDSON
Ruth L. (Birdlebough) Richardson, daughter of Rex and Nellie (Baird) Birdlebough, was born February 16, 1919, in Cortland, New York, and passed away at the Andbe Home in Norton, Kansas, on June 19, 2014, at the age of 95.
Ruth grew up in Cortland and graduated from the local schools. She also served in the U.S. Army. On April 19, 1945, she married Charles W. Richardson in Washington. Following their marriage, they moved to Oklahoma, Germany, Florida, Colorado, before making their home in Norton.
Ruth was the treasurer for the United Methodist Church in Florida and also a volunteer at the gift shop at the Florida East Hospital for more than 10 years. Ruth was a big part in the WAC's all her life.
Survivors include: one son, Michael New and Melissa, Jennings, Kansas; one daughter, Shelly Franco, Clayton, Kansas; 5 grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother.
