Obituary of Marguerite Godbout

IN LOVING MEMORY OF MARGUERITE D. GODBOUT Marguerite D. Godbout, 80, of Norton, passed away at her home on April 8th, 2014 surrounded by family and friends. Marguerite was born on May 21, 1933, in Portis, Ks, to Harry and Louise (Hayworth) Moyer. She lived and attended school in Osborne County, Ks. Marguerite married Leroy J. Godbout in New Mexico on December 18, 1955. They made their home in Phillipsburg, Ks and later moved to Almena where they lived until Roy's death in 1980. Marguerite worked at the Phillips County Hospital, Northern Valley Schools and then at Norton State Hospital until 1985 when she met Robert (Bob) Millan. Shortly after meeting, they settled in and began operating the R&M Motel until selling in 2009. She loved meeting and visiting all those who stayed at the motel. Her favorite past-time was visiting with family and friends. She loved spending time outside on the patio having cookouts. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her dogs Rocky and Sassy. She has a twin sister, Marjorie and there wasn't a day that passed by that they didn't talk to each other. Marguerite is survived by Robert Millan, 4 children; Vickie Cox and husband Rick, Pam Dibble, Mark Godbout, DeeDee Urbach and husband Scott, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, sister Marjorie Huff, brothers John (Franklin) Moyer and Glen Moyer, and extended Millan family members. She is preceded in death by her 1st husband Roy, sister Debbie and brother Harry.
