My mother, Kathleen Foley Grimes, and I, Denise Foley Ford, visited Creta and Loyal in September 2011 during a very sad and trying time for America. It was the first time I med Creta and Loyal. Mom and I had planned this genealogy trip for over two years but we were so saddened by 9/11 that we wanted to return home. We had contacted Creta and therefore paid our respects. At that time she was not feeling well but was a gracious host. I was absolutely stunned by her generosity when she gave me a beautiful China cup and saucer that had belonged to my great grandmother, Anna Brown Foley. Creta touched my heart, told me stories of our family heritage and to this day, I cherish those stories and my great grandmother’s cup and saucer. God bless you, Creta.
