Obituary of Twila Lorraine Henry
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
TWILA L. HENRY
Twila Lorraine Henry, daughter of Rollin and Hazel (Withington) Hawks, was born September 28, 1929, in Norton County, Kansas, and passed away at the Andbe Home in Norton, on February 24, 2014, at the age of 84.
Twila was raised on the family farm north of Almena, Kansas, and she graduated from the Almena Rural High School with the class of 1947. On January 19, 1949, she married Harold Lloyd Henry in Norton. They made their home on her family's farm north of Almena until Harold's death on March 14, 1987. In the fall of 1987, she moved into Norton. In August 2006, Twila moved into the Andbe Home.
Twila loved attending area churches with her friends and was a member of the Pasttime Club and the American Legion Auxiliary in Almena. She was a past 4-H leader and enjoyed doing needlepoint, word searches, puzzles, gardening, and playing cards. Her greatest loves in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: two daughters and their husbands, Shirley and Bob Sproul, Norton, and Linda and Jerry Vincent, Levant, Kansas; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
Twila was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, and one sister.
A memorial has been established to the Twila Henry Memorial Fund.
