In 2002 my cousin Ray and I worked for Jim on his harvest crew. A very very smart, hardworking man. In the evening if the day even went sort of half well Jim had the ability to switch off from work enjoy being himself. Jim had complete belief and pride in himself, he knew how good he was.
It was a brilliant experience to know Jim and work for JA Maddy Harvesting.

So many fond memories of living and working with Jim on the crew and around the ranch in the mid eighties. Gave me a chance to see a lot of country (mostly through the windshield of a combine, lol) and get paid for it! It was hard work but worth every minute. As Jim always said, take care of yourself and each other. God speed Jim Maddy!
