Obituary of Karolyn Kay Kingham
IN LOVING MEMORY OF
KAROLYN K. KINGHAM
Karolyn Kay Kingham, daughter of Frederick and Violet (Backus) Wentz, was born August 31, 1941, in Norcatur, Kansas, and passed away at the Norton County Hospital in Norton, on August 28, 2013, at the age of 71.
Karolyn grew up in the Norcatur community and graduated from the Norcatur High School. On June 5, 1958, she married Fred Kingham in Norton. They made their home in Moscow and Satanta, Kansas, for several years before returning to the Norton area in 2002. Karolyn was a homemaker and also did upholstery work for many years. Her husband, Fred, passed away on September 11, 2006.
Karolyn attended the Maple Grove Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed gardening, raising goats and chickens, and doing puzzles. She also took great joy in doing needlepoint for her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include: five children, Wanda, of Norton; Teresa and Dennis of Hugoton, Kansas; Twila of Parsons, Kansas; Fredrick and Cindy of Ingalls, Kansas; and Jason and Bonnie of Liberal, Kansas; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; six brothers and three sisters; other relatives and friends.
Karolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Fred.
